The Apple Key is the Key to Success

Filed under: — Mike @ 10:23 pm Edit This

While working on the PC the crtl key is my key to success. Crtl-c, crtl-v, crtl-x, everyone’s favorite, crtl-z and a large number of other key combinations make the crtl key the secret to success. In OS X the apple key is the key to success.

So what’s the big deal with the key switch? Positioning. On the PC the crtl key is to the outside which makes it handy for single hand key combinations for often used functions. With the apple key next to the space bar, single handed uses require either a thumb, finger combination that is awkward.

The aspiring switcher who uses the crtl key single handed will want to make a point to start typing properly and use the apple key on their other hand.

PS: What ever happened to open apple and closed apple?
